The plodes® Tetra Fire Pit is a wood burning fire pit design cultivated from our exploration of Polyhedrons (3d geometries of flat polygonal faces, straight edges, and vertices).

Technically having 10 faces, Tetra Fire Pit’s overall volume would be defined as a Decahedron. However, “Tetra” means “4”, and the Tetra Fire Pit’s namesake is derived from the operative geometric shape that inherently guided the final form. In Tetra’s case, the geometric creation started with a 4-sided polygon that was offset, rotated, and then connected by vertices to make anew.

The resulting faceted metal exterior is reminiscent of elegant origami and exude a sophisticatedly, crisp presentation from all angles that juxtaposes its more organic use. Tetra Fire Pit’s robust one-piece design is also reversible and can utilize the distinctively different burning area depths of 9 and 5 inches of each orientation to diversify your fire’s presentation and effect.

plodes® Tetra Fire Pits with patina are available in two dynamic sizes to adapt to your lifestyle and space. Our fire pits are made to order in Texas USA of ¼” thick premium weathering A588 Cor-Ten or A36 carbon plate steels for the most solid, robust, and heirloom quality pieces.
