The Appeal of a Minimalistic Fire Pit

The Appeal of a Minimalistic Fire Pit

The word minimal simply is defined as “of a minimum amount”. It’s part of our design process ethos to provide a functional clarity and simplistic beauty to our products through form, function, and materials. Among luxury fire pits, there is a certain special appeal that a minimalistic fire pit brings to a space. A minimal fire pit can be that perfect artistic touch to any stylish backyard destination. It, of course, brings all the functionality and relaxation that outdoor fire pits provide, but with a more subdued aesthetic which adds elegance without needing all the attention. We consider our own fire pits, designed for luxury with an eye for minimalism, as wonderful heirloom quality investments that reward homeowners with sophisticated ambiance for their family gatherings, backyard parties, and more for years to come.

Luxury Minimal Fire Pits and Fuel Choices

Like any other modern outdoor fire pits, minimal fire pits can use wood, natural gas, or propane gas as a fuel source. Each fuel type has its advantages and disadvantages, aesthetic appeal, and certain design traits. In some cases, installing a luxury fire pit can involve some minor home renovations to accommodate certain fuel sources. Deciding on a which fuel source to use is up to you, but be mindful of your space, resources, and requirements.

In gas systems, propane tanks are often visible since they are usually placed near the fire pits itself, while natural gas requires connecting and routing in ground gas supply lines. To note, natural gas and propane are distributed and burn very differently, so they require different components. However, both gas systems will require a material or ‘media’ to cover their respective heating elements. The media is usually of glass or stone, bringing whole new considerations when making aesthetic considerations. On the other hand, natural wood burning fire pits require no additional components, are easier to set up, and because it’s less complex, could be considered more reliable.
