Concepts for Haven restaurant addressing its existing outdoor space. A problem of unwanted and uncomfortable breezes through its outdoor area is addressed as a windbreaking signage/fire element/window near the main entrance. Cisterns were also explored to continue the architectural language of the windbreaker but also to maintain the organic/green ideals of the restaurant itself. The cistern’s volumes were calculated to sustain the frontage lawn and the design incorporates vegetation within itself as a planter.
